Daniella Jimenez, a Miami native, is the president of her university’s National Association of Hispanic Journalists’ chapter and is starting a new BIPOC newspaper at her university. This past year, she was the scholarship recipient of the American Women’s Club. She also has experience as a managing editor for the Eagle, the student-run newspaper and website, as the head of the Spanish section. Jimenez’s work has been featured in Telemundo44/NBC4 and CNBC, where she has engaged in research about tech policy as well as enterprise stories to address issues in the Latino and low-income community.
On Jimenez’s downtime, she likes spending time with her cat, Salem, visiting Colombia and baking arepas with her family.
