I was awarded the Fulbright-American University Scholarship to study for a master’s in Journalism and Public Affairs with a specialty in investigative journalism. Before moving to Washington, I was editor-in-chief of The Mancunion, the biggest student newspaper in the UK, receiving five national and three regional awards. I am committed to telling stories about underrepresented communities, particularly the disability community. I won the National Center on Disability and Journalism’s top student prize for a multimedia investigation into the lack of wheelchair-accessible taxis in the nation’s capital

During my summer internship at IRW, I developed my data journalism and research skills. I’ll return to the UK to begin a news traineeship at ITV.
