Marisa Iati is an investigative journalism graduate student at American University and a reporter/researcher at the Investigative Reporting Workshop.
Iati previously worked at The Star-Ledger and NJ.com in New Jersey, where she covered municipal mayhem, community issues, education and crime in two counties with a combined 1.4 million residents. She also covered white-collar crime at Global Investigations Review while living in Washington, D.C., and cataloging the District’s best coffee shops in her spare time.
