Haley Samsel is an undergraduate student at American University, where she studies journalism and international relations. Prior to coming to IRW, Haley was the D.C. reporting fellow for The Texas Tribune and an intern at the Washington Monthly, NPR and USA TODAY’s college platform. She is currently the editor-in-chief of the university’s student newspaper, The Eagle. Outside of journalism, Haley enjoys rooting for her hometown Dallas Mavericks, tracking down the best Mexican food in D.C. and listening to music from her favorite group, BTS.
