Carley Welch is a journalist earning a master’s degree at American University. Welch specializes in investigative journalism and will be a student reporter at the Washington Post this fall while also working in the Investigative Reporting Workshop on campus.
As an undergraduate at James Madison University, Welch was the news editor of the university newspaper, Welch interned at Voice of America and RVA Magazine and produced a multimedia story on an underground political movement while studying abroad in Italy.
