Leah Clark

2024 Summer Fellow

Leah Clark is a rising senior hailing from Jackson, Mississippi. She attends Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, La., where she majors in mass communication and minors in political science. At Xavier, Leah has served in numerous roles such as the 2022-23 president of the campus chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and 2023-24 editor-in-chief of The Xavier Herald, the campus newspaper. Along with interning at IRW, Leah will be participating in the 2024 NABJ Student Multimedia Project this summer in Chicago, Ill. Her ultimate career goal is to become a political journalist for print and digital publications.
