The latest program from FRONTLINE, NPR and IRW focuses on the unequal government support that has allowed some hospitals’ profits to boom during the pandemic while others continued to lag behind — particularly those hospitals that serve the neediest communities.

Become a FRONTLINE newsletter subscriber and you can join a free online event on May 20 at 4 p.m. ET to meet the producers of the program. You’ll also receive information and access to future exclusive programs.

FRONTLINE writer-director Rick Young and producers Emma Schwartz and Fritz Kramer will join Laura Sullivan of NPR to talk about what they found in  months of reporting across the country.

They’ll be in conversation with FRONTLINE Executive Producer Raney Aronson-Rath. They’ll also be joined by Dr. Brad Spellberg of the USC Medical Center and Dr. Paula Chatterjee of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
