Factual Narrative
On September 22, 2006, a Delta B-777-200 en route from Israel to Atlanta, GA, experienced smoke and fire from the lower corner of the first officer's front window. The flight crew donned their oxygen masks, declared an emergency, and diverted to Brindisi, Italy. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Italian ANSV.
